Indonesian Migrant Workers Union (IMWU) prosecuted Indonesian government related with the protection of Indonesian migrant workers because effect of world economical crisis. Economical crisis which was happening in America gave the impacts to all aspect in the world. The fulfillment of cheap labor is one of the effects of economical crisis.

The Revision of acts number 39/2004 about Placement and Protection for Indonesia Migrant Workers was refused by IMWU. IMWU conjectured that it will cause the government ignore their responsibility in protection and placement of the Indonesian migrant workers.

The prosecute of IMWU were :
1. Ratify The Convention of United Nation year 1990 about The Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Rights and     Their Families.
2. The revision of Acts number 39/2004 must be refer to The Convention of United Nation year 1990.
3. The United Labor and Organization of Indonesian Migrant Workers must be
4. Blacklist the employers and agencies who extorted the Indonesian migrant workers
5. Cut the cost of agencies become HK$ 9.000 for Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong
6. Stop Underpayment
7. Disband the terminal III and IV

Two officer of BNP2TKI were reported to police by the Head of Association of Indonesia labour company (Himsataki), Yunus Yamani. They were Muslikun and Sudiro Teguh Wibowo. They were reported because they sent 153 Indonesian guest workers to New Zealand without trough Indonesian guest worker agency.

Head of Association of Indonesia labour company (Himsataki), Yunus Yamani said that the sending of Indonesian guest workers had been going since 2 November 2007 until 2 February 2008. He said that those rightful to send the Indonesian guest workers are agencies.

According to clause 4 in UU 39 years 2004, the rightful to send the Indonesian guest workers are Indonesian labour companies. It is because the Indonesian labour agency has to deposit money IDR 500 million and consign the company’s business license. Yunus said that the police has to investigate this case.
